HEAD OF SCHOOL SEARCH

Dear St. John’s Episcopal School Community,

We know you are excited about meeting each of the three finalist candidates for our Permanent Head of School position. We have built a robust schedule for the candidates to meet with all members of the community. As promised during the Back to School Night event, below are dates and times during which parents may meet and ask questions of each of the finalists during their 2-day on-campus visit.

David Peden (On campus October 6th and 7th)
Parent meet and greet - October 6th at 2:45pm in Library
Parent meet and greet - October 7th at 8:15am in Library

Stephanie Metcalfe (On campus October 8th and 9th)
Parent meet and greet - October 8th at 2:45pm in Library
Parent meet and greet - October 9th at 8:15am in Library

Jason Singleton (On campus October 15th and 16th)
Parent meet and greet - October 15th at 2:45pm in Library
Parent meet and greet - October 16th at 8:15am in Library

This is an opportunity for parents to meet each of the finalists, ask questions, and assess whether they believe the candidate is the right fit for our St John’s Episcopal School community. A brief bio of each candidate has been emailed to all parents as well. After months of vetting, the Search Committee, in conjunction with its consultant, IndySchool Consultancy, believes each of these finalists is worthy of your consideration. However, your feedback during this important final phase will help guide the right decision.
Please take the time to form your questions in advance and attend one of the two parent gatherings scheduled for each of the candidates. At the end of each session, attendees will receive a survey QR code through which they can provide feedback on that individual candidate.

This assessment, in conjunction with feedback provided by faculty and staff, the Vestry, as well as the Board of Trustees, will be evaluated by the Search Committee before determining our next Permanent Head of School.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Sincerely,
St. John's Episcopal HOS Search Committee
Nöel Harmon and Nanci Banks, Co-Chairs
